Itinerary

Day 1Arrival at Bali

Welcome to Bali! Your tour- Bali on a Motorcycle, begins today. We will pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Take time today to get over the jet lag, if any. Pamper yourself with a SPA or go for a swim in the roof top pool today. The ride starts tomorrow.

Day 2Seminyak - Munduk

Distance: 110 km

The first morning of our Adventure! Riding through small villages will give you a taste of rural Bali today. Visit the brick factory and pura desa, the gathering place for the villagers. Later, ride via rice paddies and the town of Tabanan to the second highest mountain of the island, Batakaru. Leaving Batakuru, we ride to the UNESCO World Heritage site- Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. The last corner opens a stunning view to seemingly never ending rice terraces and the mountains Batur, Abang and Agung. Here, we will have our lunch! Post lunch, we will visit the Ulun Danu temple and if time permits, take a dip in the Banyumala waterfalls before we reach our hotel in Munduk.

Day 3Munduk – Batur

Distance: 160 km

Start the day by visiting a Buddhist Monastery and then ride to Yeh Mempeh waterfall – one of the highest waterfalls in Bali. Get ready to experience an adrenaline rush as you will be riding on quite curvy roads uphill to the rim of the Batur caldera. Make sure your camera’s battery is fully charged as you will love the scenery here. Next, we go down to the crater’s bottom to have lunch at a floating restaurant. Riding through a small road along the shore of the lake will take us to Trunyan, one of the two villages where the ancient Bali Aga culture is still alive. Trunyan is notable for its peculiar treatment of dead bodies, in which they are placed on openly on the ground, simply covered with cloth and bamboo canopies, and left to decompose. The influence of a nearby tree is said to remove the putrid smell of the corpses. Riding back the same road we start our loop around the famous Mt. Batur with its bizarre lava formations. Dependent on our arrival time, we will do a short boat ride to see the Dewi Danu statue from lake side. After check in to our hotel you can relax in a nearby hot spring pool before having dinner. Overnight at a hotel overlooking the Batur Lake.

Day 4Batur - Jemeluk

Distance: 150 km

Ever watched a sunrise at a crater’s rim? Get up early today if you want to! After breakfast, we ride up Mt. Batur – an active volcano. Now heading south to Semarapura, the old capitol, and after few kms more we will have a break at Cafe among the rice fields near Sidemen. Now, we turn towards the coast. Approaching the coastline via a very tiny road gives the feeling being in heaven on earth. We will take a break enroute and visit Taman Sukasada, the old royal palace of Karangasem. Ride to the hotel. You will have spare time for relaxation on the beach or the hotel pool. Overnight in Jemeluk.

Day 5Jemeluk - Menanga

Distance: 90 km

Today is the day you will get to experience the culture of Bali. Have a good breakfast and head on the saddle to visit the Lempuyang temple, probably the most beautiful temple of Bali. On the way to it, we will ride through a lush green valley and then on a narrow bendy road up to a mountain ridge and down to the temple. A short but an exciting ride! Going steep downhill with a fantastic view to Mt. Agung we will hit the main road and reach the water temple Tirta Gangga. Time for visit, refreshment and souvenir shopping. Later, we will have a well-deserved lunch with a stunning view of the rice fields.
Riding on a steep, narrow slope road back to Selat, the road leads us to the mother temple of Bali, Pura Besakih. Located on the slopes of Bali’s holy Mt. Agung, the temple is place of worship for all Balinese Hindus but hosts family shrines too. After a lot of cultural impressions we will check in to our hotel and have dinner.

Day 6Menanga - Ubud

Distance: 125 km

We start our ride by 9 am to a waterfall in a canyon. Our next goal is the Kehen Temple. Founded by the Gelgel kingdom and completed in the 13th century, the temple was the main temple of the Bangli Kingdom, one of the nine kingdoms of Bali.
Near the town Bangli awaits us Tirta Sudamala, a place of worship and purification ceremonies. Bathing and cleansing procedure are also open for visitors. Feel free to do so. After our lunch break in a small restaurant which offers traditional Karangasem food we will pass a mystically looking bamboo forest. A 60km-loop up to the mountains full of curvy roads will be waiting for you. Our deserved break will be at a coffee plantation where we can see the processing of the coffee beans. Beside the tasting of different kinds of coffee and tea we also have the possibility to try the famous Luwak coffee. A few kms to go before we check in to our hotel on the outskirts of Ubud. The evening is free.

Day 7Ubud - Kuta

Distance: 65 km

Our last riding day starts at 9:30 am with a traditional Balinese dance performance in the nearby town Ubud. The Barong Dance is an animal mask dance symbolizing the fight between good– the lion-like Barong and bad– the demon queen Rangda. Ride to Gunung Kawi Sebatu, one of the least visited places in Bali, yet one of the most beautiful and tranquil. Back to the bikes, a short ride through the countryside brings us to Tegallalang with its famous rice terraces. After lunch, walk among the rice paddies to capture some unforgettable moments. The afternoon gets filled by a visit to the Monkey forest, located south-west of the town. After all we ride back to Kuta.

Day 8Departure from Bali

End of Bali on a motorcycle tour. Time to bid goodbye to the island and your new friends. We will drop you to the airport.

  • I hired a bike from them in Bali, and rode solo to Yogyakarta, 7-day trip, one of the best things I’ve ever done! They made it as easy as possible providing me with everything I need, even a wifi dongle which I could not have done without, the bike and tour was awesome.
    Would highly recommend these guys!

  • My tour guide Haust, not sure how to spell it, delivered the immaculate Honda CRF250f Rallys to my hotel in Kuta right on time for the Bali nature and world heritage tour. A really well guided tour and you get to see some of the things you just can’t without a motorbike. Through Seminyak to Tanah lot, through tucked away little villages, up into the mountains through the rice terraces visiting various temples on the way is excellent value. The views from the top of the lakes are insane. We made excellent time through the first half of the tour probably because it was only Haust and myself so we ended up making it all the way to the north shore and back up into the hills from the north west side of Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan and down the other side again back to my hotel. 8 in the morning till just after 6 in the evening and over 200kms, can’t recommend these guys enough.

Will definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for an Indonesian motorcycle adventure.
