Helmets

A motorcycle helmet is a protective headgear worn by motorcyclists to protect their heads in the event of a crash or accident. Motorcycle helmets designs vary, but most have an outer shell made of a strong and durable material such as fiberglass or polycarbonate, and an inner lining made of foam or other energy-absorbing material. Motorcycle helmets features can include ventilation systems, removable liners, and communication systems. It is important to choose a motorcycle helmet that meets safety standards and is certified by organizations such as the Department of Transportation (DOT), Snell Memorial Foundation, Economic Commission for Europe (ECE), or British Standard (BSI).
There are several types of motorcycle helmets to choose from, each designed for different riding styles and needs. Some of the more common types of motorcycle helmets include:
1. Full Face - This type of helmet covers the entire head, including the chin, jaw, and sides of the face. It is designed to provide the most protection for the rider's head in the event of a crash or accident.
2. Flip up/Modular helmet - This type of helmet has a flip-up chin bar that allows the rider to open the front of the helmet for easier access to the face. It provides the same level of protection as a full face helmet when the chin bar is in the down position.
3. Dual Sport Helmets - A dual sport helmet is a type of motorcycle helmet that is designed for use in both on-road and off-road riding. It combines the features of a street motorcycle helmet with those of an off-road helmet, making it a versatile choice for riders who participate in both types of riding.
4. Half helmet - This type of helmet covers only the top of the head and the back of the neck. It offers the least protection of all the helmet types and is not recommended for high-speed riding or in the event of a crash.
5. Motocross/Off-road helmet - This type of helmet is designed for use in off-road or motocross riding and has a more angular shape than a street helmet. It also has additional features such as a visor and ventilation holes to help keep the rider cool and comfortable.
Expansive as they are, they also have notable features which is why they are preferred by pro bikers.
Some available dual sport helmet brands are LS2, AXOR, SOL, SMK, Bilmola, MT, KYT, Ridex, Axxis etc
